Keith Sasaki boogLIFE Aaron Loyd December '23 T-Shirt

This bodyboarder and this wave have had such an influence on my life. I thank them both for the motivation and the aloha spirit they’ve brought me. You see, Keith Sasaki was the pro I looked up to, not only because of his DK skills but also because of his skin color was similar to mine. Back in the ‘80’s, I was this young dark-skinned grom from Imperial Beach that just gotten into bodyboarding. The magazine showcased the first generation riders and Keith was one of the few dark-skinned guys that was consistently in the mag. Mike Shaw was right up in there too. It was Keith’s style and persona that not only made me want to ride like him but proved that anything was possible for us brown dudes. Again I thank you.

Printful (our printer) uses a wet-on-wet printing technique. They use a pre-treatment that helps the ink bond with the fabric which helps prevent flaking. The images used will be in high resolution. Your gear will have the best print possible.

Some types of direct-to-garment printing designs can come out differently than expected. That's because for designs to be visible on all non-white items, the printer uses a white under base—a mix of white color and the color you added in your design.

When printing on colorful or dark garments, a white under base is used. The underbase is a mix of your intended color and white. The underbase cancels out the dark or bright-colored garment, making the print color stand out.
